Meet Our Board
Guimel DeCarvalho
Guimel has served on the FoCF Board since 2015 and is our Board President. She holds the role of Vice President of Administration and Chief Information Officer for Wayside’s Framingham Family Networks, where she was previously Vice President of People and Culture and Chief Diversity Officer. Earlier in her career, Guimel was the Program Director for Wayside and worked for the Department of Children and Family Services in Compton, California. Guimel is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and a Society of Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional. She speaks fluent Portuguese and lives in Natick with her wife and son.
Jennifer Rambridge
In addition to serving on the FoCF Board as Vice President, Jennifer is also a leadership member of the Family Advisory Committee to the Department of Children & Families (DCF), a volunteer Foster Case Reviewer for DCF, a leadership member of Parent Leaders of New England, and facilitates two online support groups for Parents Helping Parents. In her free time, she leads a creative arts session at her church. She worked as a computer analyst and is a proud parent of three adult children.
Bill Firth
Bill and his wife have been hotline (emergency) foster parents since August 2020. Bill also supports foster families in the Framingham area as a Kids Net Family Resource Liaison (FRL) and a board member of the Massachusetts Alliance for Foster Families (MAFF). Bill worked in hi-tech but is now semi-retired and enjoys substitute teaching and coaching softball. Bill and his wife have two grown children.
Stacey Summers
Stacey previously worked as a volunteer case reviewer for the Framingham DCF Office and served as a court-appointed special advocate with Boston CASA. She also sits on the Board of La Vida Scholars, a college-prep program that serves low-income, high-achieving students. Stacey works full-time as the Director of Corporate Communications for Acadian Asset Management, where she has spent the better part of her 25-year career in the investment industry as a marketing and communications professional. She spends most of her free time at her sons' sporting events and venturing to the mountains of VT.
Lisa Robideau
Lisa has served on the FoCF Board for many years. She is also President, Clinical Director and Co-Founder of Genesis Counseling Services, Inc., a state-licensed substance addictions clinic located in downtown Framingham that opened in 1995. Lisa is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and a licensed substance addictions counselor (LADC 1). She has two grown children, enjoys running, and speaks fluent Finnish.
Julie Higgins-Stanwood
Julie has been a member of the FoCF board for many years. She and her husband Doug have been foster parents for over 10 years. Julie enjoys spending time with her 8 children, especially family time hiking and at the lake in NH. Julie also enjoys cheering for her children on the basketball courts.
Mary Robbins
Mary is new to the FoCF board. She and her husband are parents to three adult children and recently adopted their soon-to-be nine-year old son through DCF foster care. Mary has previously served as a board member of the Massachusetts Alliance for Foster Families (MAFF), Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester, Matthew25, Friends of Families in Transition, and the Pastoral Counseling Centers of MA. She currently serves as the Director of Program and Outreach at the Pakachoag Center in Auburn, after holding that same position for several years at the Worcester Area Mission Society.
